Adolfo Estrada was born in Buenos Aires in 1942. He studied at Ignacio Colombres’s painting studio. He has taken part in many solo and colective exhibitions since 1962. During that same year he moved to Madrid, where he took courses at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes of San Fernando. From 1975 he lives and works in Sant Marti Vell, Gerona, Spain.
He has participated in FIAC and Basel (both with Galería Jorge Mara-La Ruche, 1995-1997, Paris and Basel, Germany), Art Frankfurt (Galería Joanna Kunstmann’s stand, 2005, Frankfurt), MACO (Alejandro Sales’s stand, 2006, Mexico), Art Miami (with Joanna Kunstmann, 2007, Miami), Art Karlsruhe (with Joanna Kunstmann, 2007-2008, Karlsruhe, Germany), arteBA (with Mara La Ruche’s stand, 1998-2011, Buenos Aires), ARCO (with the following galleries: Jorge Mara- La Ruche, Alejandro Sales and Dan Galeria, Alfredo Viñas and Marlborough, 1998-2011, Madrid), Pinta Art Fair (with Mara-La Ruche, 2008, New York) and SP Arte fairs (with Dan Galeria, 2008-2011, São Paulo), among others.
